Day 1 of freedom, and the Sox win. Sweet!!

I had no classes to go to, finals to think about, papers to write, or projects to work on. It was sweet! A day like this, especially when it’s so glorious outside is meant to be used well. And I did!

I went out and walked around the city for a bit in the glorious sun. I got to walk around in shorts and not be cold! Summer has come again!!

The best part of the day was going to see the Red Sox game tonight with my friends. The Sox won 7-1. Clay Buchholz pitched 6 1/3 innings of solid ball, and the offense, powered by Dustin Pedroia’s grand slam, exploded against the AL West leading Oakland A’s.

Fenway is an amazing experience every time. It’s a beautiful ballpark, with great sights, lights, smells, and a great team. I feel right at home when I’m at Fenway. The company of good friends made it even better. Lots of laughs, explaining the game to people who didn’t understand it, and singing Sweet Caroline. It’s home!

For more thoughts, here’s a post from my friend.
